This notice explains the data TechBits currently handles through public diagnostics, organization workspaces, monitoring, and the contact queue. Last updated September 1, 2026.

Information TechBits handles

Public diagnostics store the submitted storefront URL, bounded technical observations, generated findings, timestamps, and a pseudonymous request fingerprint used for abuse prevention. Accounts and workspaces store identity, organization, membership, store, report, invitation, and monitoring records. The contact form stores the name, email, topic, optional store URL, and message you choose to submit.

How it is used

TechBits uses this information to run requested diagnostics, display and claim reports, operate tenant workspaces, detect storefront changes, protect the service, respond to contact requests, and maintain limited operational evidence. TechBits does not require or intentionally collect Shopify passwords, API keys, collaborator codes, or customer exports through these flows.

Retention

Anonymous diagnostic capabilities expire after seven days. Claimed reports follow the tenant retention contract. Resolved or spam contact requests are eligible for deletion after 90 days, and every contact request is eligible after 365 days. Operational cleanup runs in bounded batches and records aggregate counters rather than customer content.

Access and sharing

Tenant data is restricted by organization membership and row-level security. Contact messages are available only through the internal platform operations boundary. Hosting, authentication, and database providers process data only as needed to operate TechBits. No Shopify, billing, or remediation integration is active unless the product explicitly says otherwise.

Your choices

Do not submit credentials or unrelated personal data. You can use the contact page to ask about information you submitted or request review of a deletion concern. Legal identity, jurisdiction-specific rights language, and final processor disclosures require owner and counsel approval before commercial launch.
